Blog is Now Active...

I had revived the blog just yesterday, renewing scripts and server addresses in the template. Its kinda difficult to find servers that provide free file hosting, especially those that can hot-link the files. The banner might not be working sometimes due to heavy network traffic. Well, the server might just remove the 140kb banner becoz of leeching :D

Currently working in Eli Lilly-NUS... A nice place... There, volunteers undergo clinical trials and compensated for about $80 for it. Interested? The study rooms or so called patient wards are well equipped with medical equipments except the labs I'm working in :D I'm happy that the company is paying me well, except that the working days are a little staggered. My combat medic skills are useful in the company :D Except the need for resuscitation protocols...

And why would I prefer working to studying full-time? Its because I'm too stressed up studying in university. Having problems with the course I've selected. I don't like to study for the sake of memorizing and getting through exams with sucky grades. That course would be a 4 year long struggle for me. Hate getting lousy grades after putting in much effort studying and learning... Doesn't make me feel any motivated, only disappointment...

That comes to my mind to start finding a job that fits in the schedule for my part-time course that I've registered in PSB Academy... Its right to say that the certificate doesn't worth much compared to reputable local universities. However, it has long term benefits. Not only I earn wages throughout the course, I'm able to get 2 degrees within the 4 year period. In addition, i get 4 years working experience compared to a degree fresh grad. After 4 years of work, my job would have been stable compared to fresh-entries, although starting pay might be lower (about $500? Lol).

In the field of life-sciences, you can't earn much without masters, that's sad.. If you think your brain functions like an ordinary PC, just go for a degree at least... If its a server, go for masters or even PhD :D

What am I doing at home... Well, doing housework and gaming :D for the time being... until my course starts this coming March... And I'm looking forward to it... Coz job+part-time study is my only option left to live with... I'm now enjoying life as much as possible before real work begins. Other than the part-time molecular biology degree course i'm taking, I might furthur my studies and taking up courses like pharmaceuticals, IT, and Business... In summary, i'll be spending the rest of my life studying... This would be the message for today. Its getting late :D

My First Book Out...

Ahhhh free at last after 2 weeks of BMT (PTP)... My first book out, went home, had dinner, then slept for about 11hours; woke up in between to use the computer to check the mail blah blah. Next day (Friday) went to Beach Rd with the bunk mates to buy the neccessary army stuff at about 2pm, miss my sushi buffet, but wat the heck, can save some money... went home, chat via SMS and MSN... And started toning the Yuna picture below until today...

Tml booking in, think it will be tough later on... Hmmm more suffering :D Well, dun really care much, just want to ORD ASAP and forget everything about NS, which is in fact a waste of time... Post me to commanding school or being condemned in logistics, i dun mind... Coz life sux... Coz we dun have much freedom from the start of life...

If there's anyone i noe out there who knows how to even start up this program called rigiedit in working condition, i'm most impressed... It is said to like compress image files into a smaller, abstract format using algorithms... Omg... What the heck... I don't even recall the programming languages for perl and visual basics, not to mention figuring out what a computer science student is studying... Well, this is the address for the program...

This program might be another 3D modelling software that export files in compressed .rsf for short, or (Rigi Standard Format). This program apparently interest me, not until I stop deciphering how to use it...

Haha... I had made something out of my closet for a game called mount & blade... Fun... But I spent 1 1/2 days to get it done... Think u know what clothes is it, hehe, with the rank and all the badges on it... Well... Its not that i wear the bottom part of that zombie model in the picture, apparently looking like a skirt, but its b'coz the "mesh" or the "structure of the model" needs it to appear that way... Yea, made some other changes to the clothes too, notice it? Make a guess... Ooooo I'm hungry now.... Need to eat something...

This is how i make the sushi rice...

INGREDIENTS:
· 3 cups Japanese-style rice
· 3 1/4 cups water
· 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar
· 2 tbsp sugar
· 1 tsp salt

Here's How:
1. Put the rice in a bowl and wash with cold water.
2. Repeat washing until the water becomes clear.
3. Drain the rice in a colander and set aside.
4. Place the rice in a pan or rice cooker and add water.
5. Use just enough water to cover the rice -- don't fill the entire pot.
6. Let the rice soak in the water at least 30 min. One hour is ideal.
7. If you are cooking the rice in a pan, cover the pan with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat.
8. Once the water boils, turn the heat down very low and cook about 15-20 min. until the water is almost gone.
9. Remove the pan from the heat and let it steam for 10-15 minutes before serving.

As for the mayonnaise + minced crabmeat/maize...
I experimented this once and it works... taste ok... (But pls cook the crabmeat and corn before u eat...)

Use Ajinomoto's mayonnaise... it cost about $4.5o in NTUC
*Dun cook too much crabsticks...
Mix mayo + water(trial & error, until quite watery) + crabmeat/maize

Oh yah one more thing... Look at what type of seaweed before purchase... There's once i bought korean seaweed... omg... it sux like shit... too thin, salty, oily and doesn't stick well to the rice... Hmm.. sushi is an art that involves creativity.. try make something out of ordinary..

Gosh... I'm under attack by these creatures. Its approximately 2cm long, fairly blunt teeth, but venture around in large groups... The hamsters... sadly was living under the fluorescent lamp, was under seige by air... Some of them got eaten after being bitten... Ouch... If they were to be advancely armed (wasp/bees; frequent visitors), they would have been owned by stings (^-^) While catching these insects, there's one instant that I spill them all out of the bottle... Oh my... they swarmed all over the room... just a reminder, if u wanna try this, you did better isolate them separately before u catch them... I will be expecting this for the rest of the weeks... I'm amazed... Saw this scenary on the way from Chiangmai to Chiangrai (border of Myanmar). My One & Only Souvenir from Chiang Mai...

Bought this necklace actually from Chiang Mai Night Bazaar along the streets near hotel Star Inn. If you are lucky, you will find this design... All along, I only saw this in 3 places in this 5 day tour. One at Mae Hong Son (MHS) village, another at MHS airport, the last one in Chiang Mai. And I mean the last one in the whole market, about 2km radius around the hotel. I bought it at 150 Baht (SGD ~7). I find it unique among the other necklaces at the villages... I like the way they engrave the pictures on it. Not meant for wearing, but as a souvenir. I think some daredevils might wear it on the streets in Singapore ^-^ It is made by the Long Neck tribe in MHS using aluminium sheets, which was then re-sold in Chiang Mai. Bought it from a shop, but not from those tribal ppl along the streets (They dun sell these... Coz they were from the Red Tribe). Well, its a piece of art I've got here. Met my objectives... Thats... to get something thats rare in Singapore...

Ahhhh.... Today Kupo and Kapo went to Marina Square to get wat we want for the dinner and dance... Looks like there's nothing interesting... Its either we can't find them or they are just way too expensive. Think Kapo knows wat I'm talking about. Kapo can't find a nice bag for his camera and his "monkey blaster", also... the watch he really want to get... The watch is branded (SWATCH), and it cost about $189, sad... For me, I'm no better... The deathblow is the stupid shop selling the pocket watch for $335... It's branded (TISSOT) and gold plated... It has a nice plain design that I like. It cost a bomb OMG... OMG.... My house is infested with this tiny little creatures... There are more of it around my window... I dunno why they find it good to breed at such a high altitude. For your information, I'm living 30 storey high... Think its because of the low pressure and temperature. Well... When this "phenomenon" happens, my house will be like a bird sanctuary... Let's Put an End to This...
Ohhhh Keefe and Richard... The life living as a half dead person in Ngee Ann is finally coming to an end.... But I still sense a disturbance... The stupid "external interview"!!! Like what i said, i hate presentations... I'll draculate (+50% willpower) tomorrow onwards, to finish editing the slides, Saturday and Sunday will spend on "memorising" the script this time. Its my last resort... Junctioning all the power from my reactor to do better for the presentation. Trying my best... Ganbatte!!! Will the Force help me get a pass "at least a C grade" for Project B? That... I got 50/50 confidence... Oh gosh, God please help me through in this one, this is my only request for then... I'm very worried for this one...

What can i do back in Ngee Ann
Oh... If Kipu and Kapo were to ask Kupo this question, they would get owned... I would be back for Navigators. Sadly, for your information, I'm a Presbyterian that always didn't go church. Why? I'm so stress in schoolwork that I can't even make myself to go there. Well, stress has a very permanent effect on me. Side-effects: Depression, Migraines, Insomnia and lost of appetite. Among this, depression is the worse.

We will not be able to meet up in Ngee Ann everyday, but i did hope we will not lost contact. This time, I can say the friendship in Ngee Ann is stronger and more valuable than those in Noobie School :D Hope we can really find a time every weekends and go out together (Richard, Keefe, Niki, Jac, Weiling).

National Service
Well Keefe... Richard... We are going in NS soon, lets race and see who get the highest rank :D Or possibly see each other in National Stadium... After studies... Now this time I'll try something new to achieve in NS. Going to Pia in NS, this is my word. Going to a Navy man... Boo hoo... going to miss Singapore... NS is not bound to my future, so no problem, no worries, no stress. Comon Keefe... We are from K.O.T.S.O. We must have must earn the honor. Hahaha... Don't forget, keefe and richard, it's our duty to defend the country, we have China's blood flowing in us...

Celebrations
And also... For the sushi buffet, i have my word... But thats after our external interview XD. I won't have mood for anything the next 3 days, so today nite, trying to enjoy every last minute before its lost... Hope we do have a gathering the next few days, to celebrate for the graduation, other than the D&D, or we can spend the whole day on that day for Kaimono and sight-seeing. If you all are on, lets go for a chelat, but that would cost $$$.

Working in Kemin
As for Jac, I'll try ask my supervisor for vacancies if any... Wonder whether they would need more people in their lab. But I'm sure they would be very picky, and they will often do regular spot checks on technicians for their lab techniques, especially in asepsis. Must be very hardworking... That I know, by looking at a JC graduate they recently employed... Very sad... She working like hell for 3 people... Microbiology Department is the worse, i would reckon u prefer the Biochemistry department; easy job, less work. My co-supervisor scared of me :D Work non-stop until i skip lunch... And that happens most of the days...

Though the grafix sux, i noe, but my opinion is that it is a good way to communicate with friends after graduation.
